Swedish has made staffing cuts and has hundreds of nursing positions vacant. Swedish has 900 open positions, including 600 nurses, across its seven campuses.

While the number of RN jobs is supposed to grow by 15 percent by 2026, the advance practice nurse field is expected to grow by 31 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
